Best Dubrovnik Speedboat Tours

Taking a Dubrovnik speedboat tour is a great way to see all of the stunning islands and landscapes off the coast of Dubrovnik. Most speedboat tours will go to the Blue Cave and other popular spots. As I said in the introduction, these tours are the best of the best.

1. Blue Cave Small-Group Boat Tour from Dubrovnik-Original

RATING: 5 out of 5 Stars (3700+ reviews) | ⌛ TOUR LENGTH: 4 hours |
🧍 GROUP SIZE: Boat capacity is 12 | 🚤 BOOK NOW

Without a doubt, the best and most popular Dubrovnik speedboat tour is the Blue Cave Small-Group Boat Tour from Dubrovnik-Original with nearly 4000 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews!

Review which says "This was a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the old city. Our captain and guide, Frankie, provided for an awesome day. The stops at the caves were nice and the time to relax on the beach hit the spot after the open water swimming."

When booking a tour, no matter what that tour is or where the tour is, I always like to go with the tried and tested option.

With nearly 4,000 reviews and an average rating of the maximum of 5/5 stars, it’s fair to say that Blue Cave Small-Group Boat Tour from Dubrovnik has more than passed the test of travellers before both me and you.

The tour takes you on a speedboat from the Gruz Port in Dubrovnik to Sunj Beach, Kolocep Island, and the Blue Cave. Three infamous spots just off the Croatian coast.

It’s incredible being able to visit 3 super remote locations in just one tour. Not to mention, a speedboat tour.

One of the best parts about a speedboat tour is always the speedboat itself, right? The thrill of travelling across the waves at high speeds with the wind in your face and gorgeous views in all directions is what makes a Dubrovnik speedboat tour so special.

It’s indescribable, and I always say a boat tour is a must-do while visiting Dubrovnik. Whether you have 5 days in Dubrovnik or a whole month, you need to get out onto the sea at least once.

I genuinely can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s the best and most popular for a reason. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and even though they’re driving the boat, they just feel a part of the group like everyone else.

Blue Cave Small-Group Boat Tour from Dubrovnik is a true adventure. Sunj Beach offers the perfect place to relax on a remote beach. Kolocep Island has lots of hidden caves and lots of spots “off the beaten track”. And the Blue Cave, well, it’s the Blue Cave- it’s extraordinary.

There are also endless snorkelling and swimming opportunities throughout the boat tour. And trust me, you’re gonna want to take advantage of those opportunities. It’s amazing.

How it’s possible to do so much in 4 hours without feeling rushed is beyond me, but this tour manages it, and I promise you, it doesn’t disappoint!

So make sure to book your Blue Cave Small-Group Boat Tour from Dubrovnik well in advance as it sometimes sells out due to how popular it is.

It’s worth noting that this is the only group tour of the 3 Dubrovnik speedboat tours, the other 2 are private tours. But I do have some other recommendations for group tours at the end of this post.

2. Dubrovnik Speed Boat Private Tour to Elafiti Islands

RATING: 5 out of 5 Stars (300+ reviews) | ⌛ TOUR LENGTH: 4-8 hours |

Another of my favourite Dubrovnik speedboat tours is the Dubrovnik Speed Boat Private Tour to Elafiti Islands, which also has a very high rating of 5/5 stars.

Review which says "This was out favorite day ever. We have rented private boats in various countries and this was the best so far. Our captain Nikola was amazing. The blue cave was great but the private beach felt like something out of a movie. The lunch was 5 stars and we had a table right on the water of a beautiful island. The swimming stops were breathtaking. It was the perfect day. Well worth it!"

As the name suggests, Dubrovnik Speed Boat Private Tour to Elafiti Islands is a completely private tour, meaning it’s only your captain and whoever is in your group.

Booking the tour includes 3 people, but you can pay extra to bring up to 6 people. Having a boat all to yourself is definitely worth the extra money.

It means you can choose how much time to spend at each spot, and if the weather is good and you book a longer tour (you can choose 4 or 8 hours), you can even give suggestions for where you want to go and if it’s doable, your skipper will do his work.

The tour takes you to the Blue Cave, Lopud Island (where Šunj beach is) and Lokrum Island and depending on how long you book, more spots too!

They also provide snorkelling equipment meaning that you can get in the water whenever you like. My personal favourite is at Šunj beach. It’s beautiful underwater.

By the way, if you’re wondering, there are sharks in Croatia, but don’t worry, they aren’t the type that attacks humans. You’ll be completely fine.

But if you’re scared of sharks (there’s no need to be on this tour), the unlimited free drinks including beer and wine will be sure to ease the fear.

To quote the review above, it will be one of your favourite days, ever.

For a luxurious and exclusive Dubrovnik speedboat tour, book the Dubrovnik Speed Boat Private Tour to Elafiti Islands.

3. Dubrovnik: Private Boat Cruise at Sunset with Champagne

RATING: 5 out of 5 Stars | ⌛ TOUR LENGTH: 1.5 hours |
🧍 GROUP SIZE: Private Group | 🚤 BOOK NOW

Dubrovnik: Private Boat Cruise at Sunset with Champagne holds a special place in my heart as it was the first Dubrovnik speedboat tour I ever took, and to this day, it remains one of my favourites.

Review which says "Can not fault this tour. Very friendly and
informative guide (Lukša) with great knowledge of the area and its history. The boat was very clean and perfectly sized. All this and the sunset made this a very special trip and well worth it’s money. Thank you Lukša."
Review by a GetYourGuide Traveler, read more reviews here.

Dubrovnik: Private Boat Cruise at Sunset with Champagne is a super romantic private speedboat tour which doesn’t stray too far from Dubrovnik, keeping the walls in view nearly for the whole tour.

The sunsets in Dubrovnik are some of the most beautiful I have seen anyone in the world, and there’s no better place to watch than from out at sea.

It’s the perfect tour for any couples visiting Dubrovnik and seeking a bit of romance, but it’s perfect for anyone to be honest. Anyone who has taken the tour will tell you how great it is. The reviews speak for themselves.

Dubrovnik will leave you with endless memories but this is one you’ll cherish forever, I guarantee it.

The speedboat takes you around Lokrum Island which isn’t far from Dubrovnik at all, and it means you get a stunning view of the walled city as the sun goes down.

It’s the perfect night and even though the speedboat never gets any real speed, it’s still incredible. And of course, the boats all have names too. My boyfriend and I had “COCO”, she was perfect. As was Filip, our skipper.

The tour is also the shortest on this list, only lasting 90 minutes, so if you’re tight for time, this is the tour for you. It’s also the most relaxing- I found it to be very therapeutic watching the sun set as the waves make the speedboat bob up and down.

Like a lot of speedboat tours on this list, there are also unlimited beverages including alcohol, and as the name says, champagne. It’s usually saved until the sunset.

All in all, Dubrovnik: Private Boat Cruise at Sunset with Champagne is the perfect tour for anyone and everyone. I can’t tell you how much I recommend it – it’s phenomenal – so book it for yourself and see how great it is.
